A visa by definition is a grant permission to enter any foreign country. It is the biggest huddle between getting your dream come true, where one can get all other necessary requirement done but when it comes to visa most of the students dream get shattered. That’s why it plays a vital role in terms of translating your higher education abroad dream into reality. It is considered the trickiest as well as time-consuming part where in worst-case scenario most of it is denied. Therefore, we at vingsabraod would like to provide all necessary guidelines when it comes to visa application and procedures for our valued aspirants.

International students planning to study abroad will have to apply for a student visa after they are admitted to college or university abroad. Please remember that your acceptance in an institution does not guarantee that you will be issued a student visa. Procedures and requirements for applying to a student visa vary from country to country, and inevitably they are more complex and demanding in some countries than others.  We want our students to take this part more seriously than other parameters, as it is well known phenomenon when it come to fulfill your dream of pursuing one’s academic career abroad. Following are certain valuable and detailed information on the application procedures for your country.

The entrance permission requirements to any country are as follows:

  • You must be healthy. No inoculations are required to enter the foreign country, unless you were recently in a country with epidemics such as cholera and yellow fever. HIV-positive people are not allowed to enter the foreign country.
  • You must be law-abiding. Criminal behavior is grounds for deportation.
  • You must be able to support yourself financially during your stay.
  • You intend to leave the country after you complete your studies

Several things to you can do to increase your chances of favorable visa decision:

  • Start the process at least two months in advance of your departure date.
  • Assemble all the documentation that can help make your case.
  • Make sure you are well prepared if you are required to attend an interview.

Every study abroad destinations has various types of visa, for example, USA has F1, J1 and M1 and Australia has seven types, you can choose from depending on your circumstances.

If the foreign student advisor like vingsabraod believes you have the resources necessary for study in the US,UK,AUS, he or she will send you a Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant [F-1] Student Status in US) or offer letter (UK, AUS, IRELAND etc) . You will need to submit this form with your application for a student visa to the respective embassy or consulate.

  • You will also have to provide proof of proficiency in English (unless you are enrolling in a language program).
  • You will also need Non-Immigrant Visa form available from consular offices,
  • A valid passport,
  • A 1-1/2 inch square photograph (37 mm x 37 mm) showing full face against a light background, and
  • The visa-processing fee.

Documents required for Student Visa Abroad

Right after completing your intermediate or secondary level, you are eligible to study further in all above study abroad destinations. Undergraduate level is synonymous with bachelor’s degree that some students get confused.  To study abroad in under graduate level, different country's universities/colleges require different documents to admit. However, most of the universities and colleges of different country require these common documents.

  • English Proficiency Test score sheets of IELTS, TOEFL etc scores to study in English speaking country such as USA, UK, IRELAND and AUSTRALIA.
  • Academic Certificates of Secondary level and Intermediate level.
  • Character Certificates, Police Reports as evidence to show that you are not engaged in any criminal activities.
  • Getting Recommendation Letters from your teachers.
  • Demand drafts for the applicable fees.
  • Procedures to study abroad in Under Graduate Level

Right after completing your intermediate or senior secondary level, one should choose one’s preferred study abroad destinations (USA, UK, IREKLAND and AUSTRALIA) and select one’s favored university or college abroad. At first, you have to be prepared for the basic language of that specific country. i.e. if you choose to study in English speaking countries like US, UK, Canada, Australia, it will be suitable to you to  give a English language proficiency test like TOEFL, IELTS etc. For that you must have basic idea about test which you can get from the our website and also to get deep knowledge on test, you can join test preparation classes conducted by many institutions. If you do not want to waste your time, you have to apply for your desired college/university with fees required to apply. If college/university accept you, they will send you the letter of acceptance. Secondly, preparing the documents required for the visa, apply for the visa. If visa is issued to you, then finally pay the tuition fees to your college/university and join university.

Every country differs in case of documentation, where an embassy of study abroad destinations requires different documents to issue a student visa. Following are certain common documents that we at vingsbraod found important for every student to consider:

  1. Completed Visa Application Form of respective country where student intent to study
  2. Passport valid to travel abroad and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in that country.
  3. Colored Photographs, showing a full face, without head covering with any cap, hat or sun glass against a light background. Power glasses are accepted.
  4. Letter of Acceptance or Enrollment Letter issued by the respective university or college.
  5. Original TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, GRE or GMAT score sheets (As applicable).
  6. Students going to the respective countries to earn a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree should bring their most recent mark sheets or graduation certificates.
  7. Students going the foreign country to earn a Ph.D. degree should bring their original undergraduate degree and post graduate degree mark sheets/Transcripts.
  8. Spouses and minor children accompanying the student to the foreign country for their study should bring marriage certificates, wedding photos, and birth certificates with them to the interview, to prove the relationship between themselves and the principal applicant.
  9. Demand drafts for the applicable fees, financial documents (Bank Transaction and Certificates), Property Valuation and Chartered Accountants Certificates as evidence to show availability of enough fund to support the education.
  10. No Objection Letters to study abroad issued by the government of your own country.
  11. Character Certificates, Police Reports as evidence to show that you are not engaged in any criminal activities
  12. Evidence of confirmed flights to and from that country where you intend to study.
